Type & Authorship is a class taught by Lisa Wagner and Ben Weissman, who both taught the now defunct
Fishwrap, Art Center's former student-run publication.
Fishwrap was one of the main reasons why I chose to go to Art Center, only to be discontinued once I was officially a student. So, imagine my delight when—during my 8.5th term—I discovered this gem of a class! The class description was vague so none of the students knew what we were in for. To summarize, it was a "nebulous mix of story, image, song, and dance. Tweaked versions of ourselves, vehicles for temporary personas, flashes of context and non-context, all woven into inches of life and death; histories and futures reminisced in the same howled secret."
